CREATIVE AT THE SPEED OF RETAIL
The whirlwind that is retail advertising distinctly sets itself apart as an area where one is tasked with conceptualizing and producing a large array of TV spots, digital campaigns, radio spots, banner ads, in-store programs and more — all tailored for each season, brand, sale, and promotional period. It's undeniably hectic, but I can say this experience has been profoundly creatively rewarding in my career. Although Kmart has largely faded from our landscape, during my time working on it, I was very proud of the creative my teams and I created.
The holiday season is a crucial time for retail stores, marked by fierce competition that transforms it into a must-win period for businesses in this industry. From the frenzy of Black Friday to the festive spirit of Christmas, consumers actively seek the best deals and discounts, creating a sense of urgency for retailers. My team and I came up with a holiday campaign that shines a spotlight on the unique traditions and customs that families create to make their season joyful while making their dollar go further by shopping smart at Kmart.
